Tobi received her Midwifery education at UBC. Prior to midwifery, she completed a degree in environmental studies, volunteered at the Vancouver Women’s Health Collective, and worked in conservation education and with an organization supporting newcomer and Indigenous families.
Tobi is active in midwifery advocacy work and is passionate about health care that supports anti-racism, social justice, and equity. She is committed to research and evidence-based practice and has been working with investigators at UBC’s Perinatal Anxiety Research Lab to study birthing peoples’ experiences of trauma and mental health.
When not catching babies, you can find Tobi experimenting with new recipes, tending to her vegetable garden, and enjoying the great outdoors which are a constant source of inspiration and renewal for her.
Tobi is honoured to support the incredible families that pass through the doors of South Community. She looks forward to meeting you and providing compassionate care on this life-changing journey!
