Barb joined SCBP after completing her MOA certificate program at VCC in August 2022. She came here to Canada in 2017 and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts that she fulfilled at a University in her hometown, the Philippines. She became interested in women’s health and been wanting to work in a maternity clinic after being diagnosed with an illness that caused her infertility in 2018. She wanted to apply her interpersonal communication skills to a healthcare setting in order to help moms-to-be in their pregnancy journey.

Barb is also a first time mom to their wonderful 1-year-old son. Back in her college days, she aspired to be a Radio DJ and/or a theatre actress. On her “me time” she likes doing Art DIYs, singing, practicing her photography skills and learning new dishes to cook for her family. She also likes hanging out with her family and friends and watching documentaries with her husband.
